ABOUT THE ARTIST

PHOEBE'S FIRST MEMORIES OF WOODWORKING TAKE PLACE IN THE BED OF THEIR FATHER'S PICK UP TRUCK SANDING SCRAP WOOD INTO FUNKY SHAPES (GO CHECK OUT HIS WORK AT JWALSHDESIGN.COM). THEY HAVE SINCE IMPROVED THEIR SANDING ABILITIES BUT HAVEN'T STOPPED STEALING THEIR DAD'S WOOD SCRAPS. PHOEBE'S GOAL IS TO COMBINE THEIR STUDIES AT SMITH COLLEGE WITH THEIR BACKGROUND IN WOOD, AND TO ULTIMATELY PUSH THE BOUNDARIES OF WHAT DEFINES FURNITURE. THEY ARE CURRENTLY IN THEIR RECKONING ERA- TRYING TO MEET THEMSELVES THROUGH THEIR ART.
